Jedna z najpiękniejszych baśni Andersena stawia pytanie o istotę zła, które każe patrzeć na opak, paraliżuje i zniewala. Lodowa Pani buduje swoje królestwo na prawie diabelskiego lustra - na kłamstwie i zaprzeczaniu. Jednak władza Królowej Śniegu nie sięga tam, gdzie zaczyna się miłość. To jest klucz do zwycięstwa nad złem. Dzięki miłości i wytrwałości mała Gerda pokonuje niebezpieczeństwa i dociera do lodowego zamku, a jej czyste i gorące uczucie roztapia zamienione w bryłkę lodu serce Kaja i uwalnia go spod władzy złej Pani.

Dzięki niezwykłej plastyce i pięknym lalkom w spektaklu panuje atmosfera baśniowości, której czarowi nie sposób się oprzeć.

Po przedstawieniu "Królowej Śniegu" w sobotę 14 lutego odbędzie się spotkanie dla dzieci i rodziców prowadzone w języku angielskim:

Tajemnice sceny oraz animacja lalek teatralnych

Podczas spotkania aktor Teatru Baj Marek Zimakiewicz, grający w spektaklu rolę Kaja, wprowadzi uczestników w niektóre tajemnice ukryte za kulisami. Mali i duzi widzowie będą mieli także okazję spróbować sztuki ożywiania lalek teatralnych.

- warunkiem wzięcia udziału w spotkaniu jest obejrzenie spektaklu odbywającego się w Teatrze Baj tego samego dnia, tj. 14 lutego 2015 roku

- cena biletu wstępu - 6 zł (od osoby),

- projekt adresowany jest do widzów indywidualnych, przychodzących na spektakle w weekendy - czyli do dzieci i ich rodziców lub opiekunów - spotkanie odbywa się w grupie liczącej 20 osób,

- konieczna jest uprzednia rezerwacja miejsc w kasie Teatru Baj (liczba miejsc jest ograniczona - decyduje kolejność zgłoszeń).

Pewnego dnia Gęś spotyka Śmierć. Nie Pewnego dnia Gęś zauważa Śmierć, która przecież towarzyszyła jej od zawsze, od dnia narodzin. Jak teraz zmieni się jej świat? Czy życie ze Śmiercią u boku aż tak bardzo będzie różniło się od dotychczasowego? Reżyser Marcin Jarnuszkiewicz, zainspirowany książką niemieckiego autora Wolfa Erlbrucha "Gęś, śmierć i tulipan", przedstawia prostą historię spotkania Gęsi i Śmierci w niezwykle poetycki sposób. Muzyka i obrazy stają się ważniejsze niż słowa, które padają rzadko: najważniejsze wydarza się pomiędzy i ponad nimi. Ten spektakl jest zaproszeniem do wzruszeń i przemyśleń.

The Baj Theatre prepared an offer for children and parents who do not speak Polish, but who would like to visit our theatre.

On 14th and 15th February 2015, Saturday and Sunday, at 11.00 am, we would like to invite you to a spectacle 'The Snow Queen' by Hans Christian Andersen with English subtitles. By means of the amazing puppets, beautiful stage design and simple, straightforward plot the spectacle presents a story of Gerda and Kay.

One of the most beautiful fairy tales by Andersen poses a question about the nature of evil which makes one totally confused, paralyzed and mesmerized. The Ice Lady builds her kingdom upon the law of the Evil Mirror - on falsehood and denial. However, power of Snow Queen does not reach where love begins. This is the key to conquer the evil. Thanks to love and perseverance little Gerda overcomes dangers and arrives to the ice palace, and her pure and intense feeling melts Kay's heart, which had been turned into a lump of ice, and he is rescued from the power of evil Lady.

After the spectacle 'The Snow Queen' on 14th February , Saturday, a meeting for children and parents conducted in English shall be held:

Secrets of the stage and theatre puppets' animation

During the meeting, a Baj Theatre's actor, Marek Zimakiewicz, playing the part of Kay in the spectacle, will walk the participants through some of the secrets hidden backstage. The little and big spectators will have an opportunity to try the art of puppets' animation

- participation in the meeting is only possible after watching the spectacle presented in the Baj Theatre on the same day, 14th February 2015

- price of the meeting entrance ticket - 6 PLN (per person)

- the project is addressed to individual spectators, coming to see spectacles at weekends - who are children and their parents or attendants - the meeting is organized in the group of around 20 people

- a prior booking is required (subject to availability - on a first come first served basis).

The spectacle 'The Goose, Death and Tulip' with English subtitles (21st February 2015 at 5.00 pm and 7.00 pm)

One day the Goose meets the Death. No.. One day the Goose notices the Death who obviously has been following her forever, from her birth. How is her world going to change now? Will a life with the Death at her side be so much different from the one she has had so far? The director, Marcin Jarnuszkiewicz, inspired by a book by a German author, Wolf Erlbruch, 'The Goose, Death and Tulip', presents a simple story of a meeting of the Goose and Death in an unusually poetic way. Music and images become more important than words which are rarely uttered: what is most important happens between and beyond those. The spectacle provides plenty of food for thoughts and stirs emotions.

Award: for Marcin Jarnuszkiewicz for staging of the spectacle at the 27th WALIZKA International Theatre Festival in Lomza

3rd prize at the 4th Karuzela Theatre Festival in Lodz in 2014 for beautiful images, captured moments and a philosophical message appealing both to children and adults.
